I've never seen this referred, but I just finished it reading it and thought people will like it.

For those who dislike generic shounen protagonists, but like shounen.
For those who want an adventure story in a living, beating world unlike our own

I present you:

Kazan
http://www.mangahere.co/manga/kazan/

Set in a desert kingdom, Kazan is the story of the sole survivor of a clan of nomads who seeks revenge on a water demon who killed his people and stole his childhood friend. Oddly, while he survived he hasn't physically changed since the encounter and is still physically six years old, which is an odd contrast to his personality. He meets up with Fawna, a strange girl who can create water from her hands and agrees to escort her on a journey. The rest of the story is a bit murky, but suffice it to say, not everything is as it appears.

I've just read the first volume of Assassination Classroom. I enjoyed it, but im unsure if I should continue.

Does it gets better, or worse?

Was the main character a guy (Kamijou Touma). If yes, than you've read the manga Toaru Majutsu no Index (A Certain Magical Index), which isn't as great as the original LN or even the anime. If you haven't tried it, try Toaru Kagaku no Railgun (A Certian Scientific Railgun) which is, who would have thought, about the "Railgung Girl" Misaka Mikoto. It's just about the "Science Side", so no magic stuff. It's really cool.
