Just wanted to let you guys know that Amague! is now published by Fakku!
Can't post a link because it's a hentai site and I think linking to nsfw is against the rules here.
Probably my last post/update on here too unless the thread regains activity.

Thanks for the guys that continue interested in my stuff :)

ps: "Amague!" is not hentai.

I always wondered why these type of places would call it "published" in lamens terms, anything we release in the internet is technically published.
Just looked up the site.

Has mostly stuff based on other series...otherwise known as doujinshi. It sounds like their hosting it, not "publish" it.

Because it will eventually be published in book form when enough chapters are released.

Fakku was originally a host site, like onemanga was once. It turned into a publisher recently and is in the process of removing the doujinshi from the site, by the end of the year it will be all gone.

Well let us know when that happens. For now, i can't visit the site unfortunately. I have multiple people sharing this computer, and its already difficult explaining to others that what i read isn't porn. But we'll see...I'm looking at the art. So i will not be able to read any of the chapters.

Good luck for you and Fakku though.

ps: "Amague!" is not hentai.

The site is (or was ... or it's trying not to be one) & it's blocked in my country indefinitely . So , why do you even have your story published in such a site where it used to (I still think it is) house 18+ materials ? Bad marketing , if you ask me ...

Also , from what I understand it is that Fakku is known to being really shoddy at whatever they've been doing lately & I couldn't agree more . I mean , do you know that they're selling those doujins without the artists consent ? What makes you think they'd do the same to you in the future ? You know ... ripping you & other artists off their income . And no , selling translated doujins is still 'illegal' as heck , regardless . Talk about being disrespectful ...

EDIT : Not just shoddy , but a hilariously dumb of a move on Fakku's part , if you ask me .

Great, now I have a hater spamming on my threads here :-_-:

Fakku doesn't sell doujins. Fakku sells volumes and digital magazines of original content, of which they have a contract with the publisher(Wani) in Japan and close contact with the artists of the sold volumes, even as far as having some artists doing original artwork for merchandise for them (like the skateboards) and bringing those artists to Cons in the USA

You are either really misinformed or just outright lying.

Well the thing is, I didn't ask you. But since you seem to want me to answer then I will:
1-Because Fakku has the best volumes printing in the west. Unlike viz and other publishers they keep it identical to the japanese release, which means color pages, good paper, same size, identical cover, posters and whatever the japanese release has.
2- Perhaps the more important fact for me, is that with Fakku I have complete creative liberty, something no published artist has in other publishers.
3- I see great potential in Fakku and the founder is a really cool and nice guy. They are still growing and ambitious.

Now please stop spamming on my threads, thanks :^_^:

You are either really misinformed or just outright lying.

Then , you're right on the point that I am , indeed , ill-misinformed about this as I'm basing this off resources from early 2014 (I don't really bothered with the site ever since the block's in place) & never revised it ever since . I stand corrected as I usually do , but only if I'm given facts that I can rely on in the future . Every post & points I made is up for questioning , but don't go labeling me as a 'hater' immediately just because I decided to drop posts on your threads after a very long hiatus . It's the few thread that were still active in this particular sub-forum which I know would get some sort of response to mark my brief activeness here (I can't be online too regularly) . So , instead of jumping straight to conclusion on a whim , assume that this person (like me) do not know the real & current facts about this & present them prove to disapprove their thoughts & for this case , mine .

Yes , before this , the information I had about Fakku drew a conclusion that they're being shoddy & that as an artist myself , had no respect for artists who worked hard just to put food on their dinner table only to earn nothing , thanks to free content & illegal sales of their product , just like most sites on the internet . If anything , I hold a slight grudge for Fakku & it's no different for a good lot of other sites as well . I know pretty well just how difficult it is to stay alive in Japan , so seeing this happening disheartened me lots & made me slightly mad .

Now , I clearly see Fakku's goal but if you ask me , it's too late by a good year or two . As of now , I'll keep my optimism & see where it goes . Yes , I took my time looking up to it after receiving your reply , but it would've helped if you disprove me formally instead of giving me such a snarky reply .

The thing about Fakku is strictly personal opinion & has little to do with this - about your decision on publishing via Fakku that hosts 18+ material when your work isn't rated 18+ . If any , in addition to the issue stated above , you should know very well the nature of sites hosting pornographic materials . Why not sites like Amazon , Smackjeeves or Tapastic ?

1-Because Fakku has the best volumes printing in the west. Unlike viz and other publishers they keep it identical to the japanese release, which means color pages, good paper, same size, identical cover, posters and whatever the japanese release has.

https://www.google.c...ese manga books

https://www.google.c...ooks collection

I have a major bookstore downtown that I visit once in a while that sells both Japanese original & English translated ones as well & I'm pretty sure I'll find American based publishers that of Viz as well (I know there's Dark Horse's & Yen Press's products sold there) . I don't see any difference in quality , graphic novel & regular manga alike , both low-end & high-end , posters etc. . For additional information , in my country , locally printed mangas & graphic novels also exudes the same quality as the Japanese counterpart .

If this is about the standard prints quality for hi-end mangas , it's the same for all & it's the same for almost everything else as well .

2- Perhaps the more important fact for me, is that with Fakku I have complete creative liberty, something no published artist has in other publishers.

So do most other major publishers . Look harder .

3- I see great potential in Fakku and the founder is a really cool and nice guy. They are still growing and ambitious.

Does this even matter when it comes to your reason (again) on posting a non 18+ work in a 18+ oriented site ?

In the future , if you want to convince me or anyone else that they're wrong , show us the facts . Not personal opinion & not with a remark of a typical bigot on the internet (not to offend you , just to remind you) . It's not going to help in keeping a productive conversation , only fueling the flame (which I'll back off from it & let the opposition have the win) .

Its actually very relevant.

I'm not a hater, and i know DeAngelus isn't being a "hater". but we're putting reality into it all...but you are making it harder on yourself.

You have your own story, and you have your original content. And you are so worried about how much will be altered or how it will be faithful to the original vision. And that is completely understandable. But did you do your research on it?

Are you planning on adding 18+ content into your story? If not, why are you so concerned about how much will be compromised in the final product? Fakku is almost universally known for being primarily H related content. Its not going to be easy for others to pick up a copy, no matter how well they said they read it. Also, people wont have easy access to it even online. There are people who have blocks on their computer, even me. I luckily only access through public library, but coming back home, it was blocked. This is far more limiting then you realize.

When it comes to publishing, having universal freedom can be both good and bad. Having a great recognized publisher that only gets high-quality work tend to be looked far more under a microscope. You pull your own weight, but they also tend to look at your work more, and give suggestions. FOr comics, its a little bit more free, but Typos, incorrect wording, and grammar issues tend to slip through the cracks when you get published easy.

Example: 50 Shades of Grey and Twilight. These were rejected by multiple publishers, and although widely successful in sales, was critically panned. Recognized writers even point out constant grammar flaws. SO think about it.
