"Smudges add character" thats what i say anyway.

It's really nice that you added the background, the perspective looks good on it.

To prevent smudging, you could put a paper to cover your hand when you drawing.(If it make any sense to you)
As your hand has natural oil in it, it will smudge.

The arms and legs are too bulky but its not bad. I suggest drawing these figures many multiple times to get it right (unless you already are).

Repetition helps a lot in drawing, i know it sucks drawing the same thing over and over again, but you will be glad you did.

It's been a really hard week and a half for me, but i will hopefully be back at it soon, and keeping everything moving along!

I thought of something interesting, i would like to see fellow artists drawings of an 'angry' face. No need to draw the whole head, most of the look of human emotions come from the eyebrows.

I would suggest using reference, but doin it with an OC's are best.

I like this place, got me thinking I should make a thread where gfx peeps share resources...
Then I realized it would just be a ploy to get resources from karbon......
-sigh- I forgot why I was here..........anyway thumbs up to this place, if I ever stop being cheap and get a graphics tablet I'd certainly participate!

It is hard drawing using stylus. I was testing it out on my phone and it was really hard and it feel so different from a pencil.

Quick sketch - Angry face???

Looks more 'eager' to me.

I would lower the brow over the eyes a bit, as well as make the eyes squint more

Agreed, also making the brow a bit furrowed, and inverting the mouth (so its more frowny, opposed to smiley) could help

I came across a nice tutorial about drawing people/things in perspective/foreshortening, it could be helpful to give it a good look.

By Nsio at DA

Spoiler Nsio explains Foreshortening

Because the last thing that was mentioned was anger, and welp I'm in a Kanda kinda fangirl mode, and honestly, is there anyone who does anger quite as beautifully as Kanda?

If you find yourself struggling with hair it helps to draw the hair in large clumps/sections first then add detail later. A lot of the really good artists do this.
