The world is a chaotic place, full of strange monsters which mysteriously appear. Saitama is just an average guy, who has a hobby; defeating those monster. However, after becoming too strong, Saitama is bored. He wins all his battles in a single punch, and can no longer feel the thrill of fighting a worthy opponent. Maybe all of the hard training to become strong wasn't worth it. After all what's so good about having an overwhelming power?

Why You Should Read This:
This series is pure entertainment.
Onepunch-Man, based a webcomic of the same name, has been around for a few years now. However is yet to gain the mainstream recognition it deserves. With over-the-top (Hollywood esque) action sequences, comedy gold in every other panel, and a plot which breaks (and mocks) all imaginable genre conventions. What's not to love?
Early in the series, the protagonist, Saitama, proclaims that he is "just an average guy who serves as an average hero". However, his actions quickly prove otherwise, although he is an average guy, he is far from an average hero. As such, the action sequences in this series are simply epic. An example being 6 double page spreads of a meteor approaching earth. Even something as simple as Saitama swatting mosquitoes is a spectacle to behold.
Fortunately, it's action isn't all it's got going for it. Onepunch-man is hilarious. It is a triumph of satire, through its parodying of typical shounen plot and character molds.
