Most people would say they know too much at this point.

but........grimmjow is not muscular.......... he is a very skinny guy

Compare him to someone like Byakuya who has no muscle tone (and barely any muscles)

He has a swimmer's build.

GRIMMKITTY XD <3<3<3 is actually quite muscular:

Spoiler

Also, GRIMMKITTY XD <3<3<3 isn't that much lighter compared to, say, Kenpachi, who is/was at least half a foot taller.

The term "bara" refers to the genre of male same-sex romance stories, but unlike yaoi, they're mainly written by gay people and intended for gay audiences. The body type of the typical male characters in those works is usually beefcake-muscular and with a certain amount of body hair, in contrast to the more slender and feminine-looking bishie characters whom one would find in a run-of-the-mill yaoi story (primarily aimed at girls and women).

It started out as fetish-like material, but developed over the years into a more serious form of art (the "bara" genre, that is).

So basically yaoi with more manly looking men?

It is as a very wise woman once told me:

"Girls like Grimmjow because he has a bara body with a bishie face. He doesn't commit fully to bara like Sado, which would kill his popularity nor is he too pretty."

Vin?

and nope she never told me about bara...:lmao:

Lololololololololol

Bara is hentai about bears. As opposed to yaoi. Which is about twinks.

How have you gone this long without finding this out?

LOL.Now in those terms? I'm surprised you know what bears are referring to.

Apparently I haven't been reading enough porn. And Random and mine's friend never told me. Or maybe she did, but I"m old so I forgot.

Why, just this morning I read a gender-swapped Sailor Moon bara.

I didn't know it was hentai when I started reading, but I didn't stop reading when I found out either

It's probably worth pointing out that, as well as being a magical girl parody, Charlotte is also a parody of bara - hence all his rose symbolism and his clash with Yumichika.

The results won't be released (probably) until August, when the series celebrates its official fourteenth anniversary (it'll likely receive the lead cover of WSJ which also gives it a color page for the chapter's first page). Of course, unless you meant the icon/wallpaper poll from last year.

In that case, I'll just duck and run.

68

Chapters would be

DIRTY

The Ordinary Peace

KILL THE KING

All is Lost

ミミハギ様

Return of the God

The Dark Arm

The Betrayer

Where Do You Stand?

THE DARK CURTAIN

Volume title guesses

1.Tie between KILL THE KING/ Return of the God

2. Where Do You Stand?/ All is Lost

3. The Dark Arm/ THE DARK CURTAIN

Cover character guesses

1.  Aizen/ Ukitake

2. Uryu

3. Yhwach

Aizen would tie Ichigo with three

Ukitake would finally get a cover page

Uryu and Yhwach would get two covers

Yhwach would break Grim's record of least volumes before reappearing as the cover character at 8

Of course then 69 could come out with Grim on the volume cover and then Grim, Aizen and Ichigo would be tied with Three.

The idea of a Bleach volume with the title

'DIRTY'

splashed across it in big letters tickles me for some reason.

On a serious note, I'm very interested to see where Kubo goes with the volume title, because the volume titles usually give some insight into how Kubo regards that volume's theme, the 'heart' of that volume, if you like.

If Ukitake does not appear on the front cover, I am likely to interpret that as a good sign that Kubo has something else in mind for Ukitake later on down the road. I don't expect Aizen to be a contender for the next volume because he has almost no presence in it and the volume cliffhanger is Aizen confronting the Gotei 13. The main focus on the volume is really Yhwach, Ukitake and Mimihagi - the Soul King, in other words. The other focus is Ichigo's confrontation with Uryuu, but that again centres on the fate of the Soul King and Uryuu's major act is also connected to Mimihagi.

I'd favour 'The Dark Arm' (Ukitake - the chapter was a juxtaposition of Mimihagi ascending to meet Yhwach and Aizen emerging from the Muken shadows to confront Kyouraku who had 'descended' to meet him) or 'The Betrayer' (Uryuu). It would, however, be interesting to see a mixture of the two - a title alluding to the Ukitake/Mimihagi part and a picture of Uryuu (the combination being 'the Dark Arm' or 'All is Lost', for example) but I have reasons for that one (it would allude to Uryuu's motives).

Volume 69 has some very symbolic numbers in it - 6, 9 and 15, and is heavily focussed on a Genesis-like theme; it's very god-obsessed, right down to Grimmjow's chapter being directly associated with the Aztec/Mayan Jaguar God-Kings. I'd say volume 69 would be a better contender for Aizen getting the cover because that volume's theme is about Yhwach 'taking over' as Soul King, so it would be good for a 'God is Alive' nod to the 'God is Dead' volume that Aizen took the cover for. However, if Kubo goes for the 15 connection, he could give the cover to Grimmjow and save Aizen for a more significant volume.

If Grimmjow gets the cover, I'd expect 'The Fang', but the jaguar themes would allow for 'Gate of the Sun' or 'The Twinned Twilight' to be paired with him, too.

For volume 68, I think Ukitake and Uryuu, possibly Yhwach, are the main contenders for this volume cover. I am not good at predicting covers, however.

Kubo doesn't do that very often. In fact, almost never. However, it's not unheard of, so it could happen.
