Rinka manages to get on top of the statue without alerting the first of two boars. The third, however, notices the thief as she climbs the statue and turns towards her. Flames continue to spurt from the boar's nostrils, but it does not charge. It simply faces Rinka and waits.

Vaeri watched the creatures in a room for a time as Rinka moved into position. While their appearance made them out to be little more than magical constructs, she noted the boars would occasionally eat gravel off the ground. If they required food to function, it was possible they could be sentient and reasoned with. With the proper means at least. Stepping forward, the paladin yelled out to the boars, raising her shield just in case and projecting her divine authority. "Creatures of Pyrrhic Cavern, we come to your realm on a task blessed by the gods themselves! Stand down and make no move against us, and we shall grant you the same treatment!"

All three boars rushed towards the paladin and stopped inches away from the woman's shield. They sat on their hind legs and opened their mouths wide. There was a glint in their ruby red eyes. Whether that was a trick of the light, or a hint of sentience is up in the air.

''Cute'', Wakana who had always loved pigs and boars blurted out. But appearance and true nature didn't always agree. Having learned that much when traveling around with his tribe, the genius kid patiently observed them while the others were making their preparation. Rinka was spotted by one of the boars but it turned out to be no big deal. Seconds later, Vaeri managed to make the boars all stand in front of her, making no movement. All of this gave Wakana a laugh in his mind ''So those boars are not that aggressive and Vaeri-chan is boasting like hell''. He shook his head and stepped forward, one meter diagonally to the right from Vaeri ''Not me, no Gods.''
And he slashed the neck of the boar closest to him with full strength.

Vaeri nodded in approval at the boars sat down before her. "That's it. It looks like you can be reasoned with after all. All we require is one-" The elf paused as the boy approached her and the creatures she was negotiating with. "You should probably stand back for now until I finish discussing with them." Her words appeared to fall on empty ears, however, as the fighter stepped forward to launch an attack on the creatures. Despite being momentarily shocked by the sheer audacity of the move, the paladin instinctively leaped to defend against his slash.

The elf grunted with exertion as she brought the sword to a stop, glaring at the much younger individual over her shield. "Are... you..." Below her shield, Vaeri's leg lifted off the ground momentarily as she drove her foot upwards between the Nomadik's legs with enough force to stagger him back a few steps from the boars, as well as cause some pain that her in opinion was entirely deserved. "...JOKING?! We can get past these things if we just use our heads, you know!" She looked like she wanted to continue on for quite a while, but wrenched her attention back to the pigs with a huff of indignation, projecting herself through the transcendent speech her deity had granted her again. "You see? I keep my promises, creatures! No harm will come to you as long as you treat us as your own."

''Sensual massage? Neat''.
The inner masochist seemed to have woken up in Wakana to smooth the pain, even though he was still sure his tendencies were healthily balanced. But he still had something that he would not compromise ''Your God, not mine''. And he returned to glaring at those cute boars.

The paladin glanced over her shoulder to fix the boy with a look of pure disgust, opening her mouth to speak up again before biting her lip to forcibly silence herself. Reciting a verse of prayer in her head to calm herself down, she continued watching the boars. "I don't expect you to worship him, but don't break a contract made in his name for the good of the group again, or next time I won't be gentle."
The creatures still had their mouths open expectantly. A thought occurring to her, the elf knelt down and scooped up few chunks of stone from the ground and held it out to the boars, allowing them to consume the offering from her hand. Once each had gotten some, she rose back up to her full height and motioned ahead down the only path available, taking the lead once more with shield and sword raised defensively.

Rinka nodded to Vaeri as she descended from her spot upon the statue. She playfully tapped her on the butt and cracked a smile. "Good work. Knew you'd think of something. This'll be a cakewalk." She took the middle of the formation as they pressed into the cave. "Wakana, if you're itching for a fight, just take the rear guard in case we get ambushed."

''Okay.'' Wakana followed the two while focusing all his mind on enhancing his sense to feel the surrounding.

The group walked through the passage and eventually came upon a fork. They noticed a small amount of steam coming from the left path, but the right path had no such characteristic. In fact, it looked like the right path was a continuation of the passage and the left was forcefully created.

Upon seeing the fork, Wakana threw some rocks into the left passage to see what kind of reaction that would bring.

Vaeri glanced out into the steam. "Alright, I'll take the lead again." She started down the narrow passage, reaching out ahead of her with her sword and tapping ahead to try and get an idea of what was there.

The trio walked through the narrow passage in single file with Vaeri leading the way. The dense steam assaulted their bodies with an uncomfortable heat and nearly made the journey intolerable. Still, the group powered through it and eventually reached the exit.
From the exit the group could see that the passageway expanded into a steam-covered room. Fortunately, the room was large enough that the steam dispersed through the area and cooled to a comfortable temperature. When peering through the steam the group could see the shadows of what seemed to be two men standing guard. A faint smell of peppermint came from the direction of the shadows.

As soon as the peppermint scent reached his nose, Wakana searched his brain for information.

Wakana could remember various plants and concoctions that would give off the smell of peppermint, but none would naturally occur in such a heated area. He could only guess that it was the smell of an undiscovered monster or someone's perfume.

''Someone might be there'', said Wakana to his two female companions.

"I'll take a look." Rinka whispered to her teammates. Quietly, she crept along the path attempting to stealthily scout the area.
