When will you fools understand that the spirit of the Naruto manga we all fell in love with is dead and gone?

I felt it with the Boruto movie

Why not? Itachi massacred his own clan and was forgiven.

Sasuke actions were handwaved.

Obito = coolest guy ever

Imho, Itachi being a good guy was a big mistake and Kishi copied the ending of Mgs3.

Sasuke...

Spoiler

There is not defense against that...

Obito at least died...

Its not because that Kishi decided to forgive them that it was a good decision.

Orochimaru was clearly kept alive in case the series needed one of its major villains to come back. That's the only reason he is alive.

He was seen alive in the last chapter of the series though.

I can't force you to believe me that's your choice. People live their lives bound by what they accept as correct and true. That's how they define "reality". But what does it mean to be "correct" and "true?" Merely vague concepts...their reality may all be a mirage. Can we consider them to simply be living in their own world, shaped by their beliefs?-Itachi Uchiha

I knew that already which is another huge reason why the ending was terrible.

Come to think of it, there's not really a single person besides Madara or maybe people like Hidan that was truly evil. Every villain redeemed themselves (at least in Kishimoto's mind) and became a good guy. That really takes the edge off and makes the villains really fucking boring. Repeating the same 'i'm just misunderstanding shit and eventually Naruto will show me the way' formula makes everybody seem like children.

A central theme to Naruto is ideological debates. It makes sense for some (not every other villain) to change their views.

Define Evil.

Either everyone in Naruto is evil or no one is.

Well if Madara was evil then I don't see how Kaguya wouldn't qualify as well. I'd certainly throw Obito under that category too.

So Orochimaru is trying to reverse brainwash his kids to be their own person?

no he's just trying to confirm that mitsuki the second has free will.

Define Evil.

Either everyone in Naruto is evil or no one is.

unless your only definition of evil is kidnapping children. then only madara, obito an orochimaru are evil.

Sasuke's not dead yet though. Sasuke, and whoever else in-between, was able to become Indra's Transmigrant because Madara had died by the time he was born.
