Brutalitops tries to roll and swing his staff, but he rolls too far and his attack whiffs. The zombies crash into each other, but slowly get up to try and chase after the dark elf again.

Al-Ashir steps out of the way of the charging horses and pivots as he swings for another attempt at beheading. His foot slides in the muddy road and Hadi's edge meets the undead horse's leg instead. Hadi severs the leg, crippling the horse, and causes it to slide into the ground. The falling horse brings down the other horse and carriage and all three hurtle towards Brutalitops and the zombies.

Aspen jumps out of the way of the charging horses and tries to fire another arrow. In his rush, Aspen pulls the worn bowstring too hard and it snaps. The arrow flops to the ground and his bow is out of commission.

He rolled and aimed at the zombie but missed gloriously. This is what you get when a newly-minted Wizard attempts to imitate a fighter.

He only had a split second at stabilizing himself after the roll and the zombies are already at him again. "Merlin's butthole!" he screamed, noticing the hurtling pile of carcass and debris. Brutalitops attempts to dodge again, this time, a huge lunge to the left, hopefully enough to evade the conundrum.

The horse and carriage combo splatter the zombies underneath their weight. Brutalitops' lunge takes him out of range of the horses, but a wheel from the carriage catches him square in the chest. The dark elf is sent flying down the road, rolling through mud and slush. He is barely conscious and has a fractured right arm. His staff lay far out of reach near the undead horses. The horse with four legs was still trying to get back up.

"Omph!" A quick lunge then a searing blinding pain hit him in the chest. The next thing he knew, he can barely open his eyes and a sharp pain on his right arm jolted his senses. They say that life is a wheel --- he never knew that life can almost be ended by a goddamn wheel.

Using his good arm, he reaches for a potion he kept in his gear. He drinks the potion to fix his arm, knowing that a good set of hands would be more crucial in this mess they are in. He feels a great deal of warmth, flowing down through his throat, then through his shoulders and expanding throughout the entirety of his right arm. The pain is gradually subsiding and the pain turned into numbness and in came the restored function.

"Aspen! Is it possible to heal me from here?" he shouts hoarsely to their bard while circling around his now fixed right arm, hobbling after mustering the strength to stand up. A quick smash from either the horses or the guardsmen might break more than arms this time around. He needs to get healed fast. If not, he would have to survive and get his staff somehow.

Aspen dropped his bow and pulled out his lute and began to play a soothing melody. The chords resonated with the dark elf, and Brutalitops could feel his pain lift slightly. Unfortunately, the melody also soothed the remaining undead horse and its wounds were no more.

The horse breaks free from the carriage and ignores the fighter to charge at the bard.

Al-Ashir regained his footing after his failed attempt at decapitating the horse. He was not used to this muddy terrain. His feet would have been much better off in the warm sands of his homeland.

He looked, as the horse he had hit tumbled over and made the carriage into a snowball of death and destruction.

"You must be kidding m-", he mumbled but was silenced at the huge sound of the wooden hell on wheels crashed into the mud, pulling the undead guardsmen with it. As the wheel spun out of control and hurled into his companion, Al-Ashir had already begun running towards the carnage. A strange sting hit Al-Ashir's stomach, as Brutalitops tumbled over and barely seemed within the realm of the living. Al-Ashir all too well remembered how it had felt to lose his family to the wrath of the unliving.

"Aspen-um, you protect with Brutalitops-um!", Al-Ashir shouted. "I'll take care of the ones remaining!"

Al-Ashir noticed the horse getting back up but was too slow, as it had already begun charging forward again, this time targeting Aspen. Al-Ashir used all of his strength to try and catch up to the horse.

"I think there is only the horse left!" said Aspen, speeding up the tempo of his song. The smooth, soothing sound turned hyper and aggressive. Aspen weaved strengthening magic into his performance, intending to help Al-Ashir.

Al-Ashir feels a weird sensation in his ankle as he is pushed to the limit to catch up to the horse. He manages to be within striking range before the bard is overrun.

The pain from his ankle was strangely soothed by the melodies seemingly resonating within Al-Ashir's chest.

It was as though Aspen had somehow looked into Al-Ashir's soul and played the hymns of the desert itself. He felt strength within his hands, like an eagle soaring before a strike! As he ran forward, he felt the weight of his sword disappear. Hadi turned into its ethereal form.

For a short moment Al-Ashir was shocked. It had never activated without his command before, but he understood that the bard's song must have had something to do with it!

"Rest now, Horse-fen! Begone!", he shouted.

He leapt forward and made the largest cleave possible, aiming to sever the horse's head from its body in a fell swoop.
