Yeah that's the unfortunate reality. On your own you can build a log cabin and make a makeshift bed, maybe go hunting for food, but putting together a laptop and wireless internet requires civilization.

Because living a nomadic life with little to no semblance of settled society around it, which, in turn, breeds civilizations as we know it, wouldn't take you really far--you can and will survive, but barely.
