They were on my reading list and then Season 8 happened and I lost all interest. I think I'm over the show, so I'll put the books back on my list. I can't wait to read our queen's journey!!!

The books are much more richer than the series, Characters are much more nuanced and layered. I understand the screen writers couldn't adapt some things and they had actor demands and other factors to consider but I feel as if they simply wanted a popular show and didn't care for a good story.

Yes, that’s exactly what I’ve heard about the books and that is exactly what I want in a series. I think you’re right on the money on the direction the show went and it’s so unfortunate. But I suppose it’s more of a reason to check out the books in a sort of “what could’ve been” reason, if that even makes sense. lol

I’ve added the books to my list, so whenever I do start reading them, you’ll be the first to know. :*

Nah it's understandable, I wouldn't shade yourself like that. It's not easy keeping up over the years especially when everyone has different stuff happening in life. That you're here and talking to people here and there is a great sign you def care and doing your best :)

Nothing really. I took a break from college to find myself and I think I’m slowly getting there. Been finding new things to get passionate about. Lately, I’ve been trying to get back into the groove of reading manga and watching anime. After Bleach and Naruto, I kind of gave up. BNHA has sparked my passion again.

It's a samurai manga about Manji an immortal swordsman who has to kill 1000 evil men to atone for his sins (After his sister was killed by the brother of one of the men he killed). He meets Rin a teenager whose parents were killed by members of a group called the Itto Ryu a bunch of rogue samurai who wish to bring back times of war. Rin asks Manji to help her get her revenge on the Itto Ryu and Manji ends up accepting, seeing this as a chance to atone of his sins.

^ Very brief description, there is a lot more to it but I didn't want to spoil haha. It's a really well written manga and the art is great too. It's in my top 5 :P It's pretty dark and violent though, but not in a gore-porn kind of way I promise. You should give it a shot. Though I'm not sure what your tastes are these days ^ ^""
