Tbh, I also thought that Big Mom could help Luffy after WCI, but purely for egoistical reasons. She has seen how much chaos the SHs can start once let loose, and since she knows he's going after Kaidou, gambling on Luffy wouldn't be too far fetched. Not even for defeating Kaidou himself, just to weaken them relative to her own crew.

BM has different plans.
She was the one calling kaido so she knew about the chances of the conversation being tapped. She made sure whoever was on the line knew she was about to make a move after luffy. Going to wano was ambiguous but heavily hinted. It is clear kaido doesn't comply with her proposal but she makes it sound like he will change his mind.
Garp also made it clear that whatever the marines did, it has to be after the reverie is over which is in a week duration.
Given what garp said why isn't BM on the move to establish her alliance with kaido?
I concluded that there won't be any alliance between then. It was all a ruse to bait the marines to also make a move. She knows she needs more wild factors in wano to create a complete chaos which in turn will make it easier for her to infiltrate and kill luffy.

As I said, right after WCI, not after the current chapter. I was referring to a past theory I had, which turned out to be probably wrong.

Man i need a moment to say just how happy i am that all of you guys saying "bm would team up with luffy" turned out to be wrong.

I wont say the theory was out of left field....I am just thankful it was wrong.

However......... was baking a cake really that much better of an ending?
On one hand, the first emperor being a friend would be so lame i have no words.... 2ndly bm is not really the type of friend luffy keeps, ya he keeps creeps like law and bartolomeo, but he wouldnt be friends with a mad dictator that burns down islands would he?
On the other hand this was the worst possible bullshit to ever happen in a manga.
Someone should make a gif of goku building up the spirit bomb to throw at buu, but it is sanji building up a cake to throw at bm.
Abd that is bad, i think we can all agre the spirit bomb ending was bad but at least not this bad.

Worst ending in manga vs tired old illogical plot twist

New information on BM family.
https://thelibraryof...a-all-the-sons/

Interesting things I was able to pick up:

  • BM has 85 children, 46 boys and 39 girls
  • BM hasn't given birth in 8 years.
  • BM has been pregnant 43 times:
    • 22 times with single childs
    • 11 times of twins
    • 6 times of triplets
    • 2 times of quadruplets
    • 1 time of quintuplets
    • and 1 time of decuplets
  • BM has very diverse children from normal height, super tall, longarm, longleg, snakeneck, fishmen, mermaid and three-eyed.
  • Her family is missing winged people, minks and obviously giants.
  • Out of all the BM children 11 have devil fruits
  • 34 of BM children are ministers
  • All children born from normal/single pregnancy over the age of 25 are ministers with the exception of melise.
  • From all the children born from multiple birth pregnancy at least of the offspring's from each set is a minister
  • Totto land has at least 35 islands being inhabited

Feel sorry for brulle because her twin sister is something like a princess out of a disney movie.

My theory that the pumpkin guy was pedros soul in a homie has been debunked by Oda himself.

Damn Oda really went all out with the information on this magazine.

Your theory might just come through after this last chapter

I thought that at least 2 kids are minks, unless they are dwarfs.

Don't think there are any minks in the family. At least they are not confirmed. The 32nd son, brownie, seems to have a lot of hair in his chest. He might be a mink...

The 38th daughter looks super tinny, she is a dwarf candidate.

Ups for the decuplets having a fruit that turns into a tall warrior. When he showed up in the manga I did not understand what was going on.

The fruit fusion rises some interesting questions. Does he need consent. If no, he is a power house. If not he is as useful as the jacket jacket guy.

How can flampe think she is better than others when physically she looks like a pear. We have characters like kata and pudding with 3rd eyes and weird teeth's but at least they can hide that. What about flampe? you can't even play it as a pregnancy like overweight's often do. Her whole family is weird including her and she has the audacity to say katakuri looks like a monster.

Looking at the 38th daughter, I wonder if there are different types of dwarves? She's very similar to the Tontattas (especially her nose), but she lacks a tail (which the Tontattas have) and also has wings (which could come from a DF, but who knows).

The 28th daughter could be half-mink, since she has the :3 type mouth.
