Xcution or Vizard winning a fight, wouldn't count on it. Kubo would never let that happen.
Ukitake + Kyoraku are most likely irreverent at this point.
so I guess that leaves lame ass Byakuya and Mayuri then. Ugg!!!

Byakuya could probably one shot him with his shikai, at this rate.
too soon to expect anything out of that exchange, but the seed is planted, give it a chance to flourish. We know Askin has an agenda of his own and so does Bazz-B. That plot point is well estabilished and will definetly develop into something.
Kubo is running out of Stern Ritter.
How many are left that we know are still alive? Liltotto, Askin and Haschwald - at least of the ones who are "established." Beyond that, you have the new ones in the Royal Realm who were never mentioned prior. For all we know, this plot point could get Gin'd. Askin will look for an opportune time to execute Bach, Uryu will block it and one shot Askin. Does that sound like a satisfying conclusion to something which seemed like it had so much potential?
No. Also? It turns him into fodder for the Uryu hype train.
Not really, because if he expected to be chosen, then he did plan it, and that puts him in control of his destiny.
We don't know if he expected that. So I'm operating that he didn't, until proven otherwise. Even still, what can one individual do? When he tries to rebel against the thing that gave him his power? Not much, I suspect.

I think the new world will have room for some of the Sternritter. I anticipate that when Ichigo ultimately defeats Juha Bach, that any surviving SR will be released from Juha Bachs grasp. I can't see a Bleach ending where Soukens dream of some collaboration between the Shinigami & Quincy isn't the end result.based on his personality, there's room for Askin in a peaceful world
YES YES YES

The devil may care attitude is cool, for sure -- but the overall physical appearance of Askin is very gender bending.
He's like the love child of Aizen and Charlotte

Askin's "The Deathdealing" epithet is written with the kanji, 致死量, meaning "fatal dose/lethal amount."
致死 = "chishi" ("lethal/fatal") + 量 = "ryou" ("volume/amount/portion of food").

SR's Gin? Ehm...let not put too much hope...
Lethal sounds a bit weak. It's DEATH after all. Sounds like he can one-shot people

It's lethal/fatal/mortal. Personally, I like "fatal" the most. It sounds like "fatality" from MK.
As for Gin? Better to hope (if one must) that Askin isn't the Sternritter version of Gin.
So will Askin be the one to destroy this trap?
Eh, doubt it. Gerard's epithet hasn't been demonstrated and I could see Askin being saved for last.

I just figured Hikifunes life versus Askins Death dealing. He also had an affinity for "traps". But yeah I guess it would take a miracle to dispel the "tree of life". I see it being the last thing that happens As well. It's lethal/fatal/mortal. Personally, I like "fatal" the most. It sounds like "fatality" from MK.
