It's not for no reason. I see the lack of distinction as having no real reason. 3:

Then what's the reason?

Then what's the reason?

The reason is the differences in nature needing to be accounted for.

There aren't any differences, as I have pointed out. Or at least, you can look at it in such a way that there are no differences (and without being wrong.)

I see the differences as pretty fundamental, though. Foxy's ability, for example.

Mhm. So we would have...

"Being something" Paramecia (Luffy, Jozu)

"Doing something" Paramecia (Buffalo), might as well fit into the first category

"Affecting something" Paramecia (Gladius, Diamante)

and

"Producing something" Paramecia (Doffy, Magellan, Mr.3)

I think problem cases are Foxy, Baby 5, Pica and maybe VDD. Probably others...

Buffalo counts as the first I think. Baby 5 too.

Foxy affects something so he is third. Same with VDD.

Pica is somewhere between first and third. I want to say third.

Yeah, the second category might be scrapped. On the other hand, I find it hard to count "Rotation" to a "being something", just semantically.

Baby 5 also produces ammunition and so on.

Pica sort of dissolves himself in stone, but there is still an essence of him that can be hit (kinda like a Logia in that regard), so I guess third fits more.

A DF user who dies and then gets revived, do you think he can keep those powers? Or will he lose them? What do you think?

To be effective In combat, a warrior must not feel for his enemy. Close your heart to their desperation. Close your heart for their suffering. The road ahead is long and unforgiving. No place for a boy. You must be a warrior.

The fruit doesn't immediately leave after death, like we saw with WB.

So aside from Logia with intangibility, which fruits do you think have the best ''defense''?

I think of Marco's, Barty's, Moria's, Magellan's, DD's, Pica's and Hawkins's off the top of my head. Marco's and Barty's are a bit better though.

Well yea I agree Bartys is better, just listing another person with high level defense, Bartys defense is better than some of the other people you named too.

lol interesting question, with Haki maybe? I don't know if a Gura would blow it away or w.e.

I agree, and i would even add Hawkins to the top group. That fruit with a better mastery (which he should have by now after the time skip) may be able to create a lot of bodoo dolls, and work like a Marco+hurting oponents. It has a lot of deffensive potential

I wonder if Hawkins' defense can be augmented by having stronger people become his Voodoo Doll scapegoats? Like, if he made a Voodoo Doll out of Marco, would that Voodoo Doll last and take all the damage until Marco's regeneration ran out?

Probably... but maybe it requires some effort to create the doll, and so making one of a stronger person is more difficult?

Perhaps. And it is probably more difficult to make a large amount of Voodoo Dolls. Though traditionally in fictional media, creating a Voodoo Doll can be as simple as obtaining a personal effect, such as a lock of hair. So it could be as easy as that. The challenge being getting close enough to someone strong and stealing an item off them without them noticing and killing you, rather than the creation of the doll itself.

I think the matter here is: do Hawkins bodoos resist until the one used to do the bodoo cant resist more, or is it a one hit-technique? Cause iirc, the bodoos he used in Saobody were "destroyed" or whatever in a single hit, right?

Yeah, but until proven otherwise, they were no more than fodder pirates taking hits from an Admiral. We'll have to wait and see Hawkins get attacked by someone on his level to see if the Voodoo Dolls always die after one attack or if their individual endurance matters.
