Curious if H2 Ichigo sending his zan through Uryuu had any type of special effect on  Uryuu.

He sent it through Uryu's stomach. So, no.

But, in it's simplest form that was a hollow attacking a quincy. Most other quincies have not fared well after being attacked by hollows. It happened late enough in the storyline to not be a factor in Auswhalen, but what effect, if any, did it have on Uryuu?

We don't know how most Quincy that have been attacked by Hollows fared.

We've barely seen a Quincy be seriously hurt by a Hollow.

Also remember that H2 Hichigo was still using Yhwachgetsu as a sword.

Ichigo effectively sent his Quincy powers through Uryu.

You say this as if Ichigo's unique powers made it possible for him to "shield" Ishida from Bach's culling.

Which would be kinda cool.

From what I understood from that conversation, Ichigo was still using his Shinigami powers. They were just a small fraction of it that Yhwachgetsu could not suppress. If he was always using Quincy powers then he would have been destroying souls, no?

I mean, at the same time, we also know that Ichigo's Shinigami powers are also his Hollow powers. So why isn't Ichigo consuming souls as he kills Hollows?

The whole thing where Ichigo's Quincy powers were suppressing his Shinigami powers, which are also his Hollow powers is so confusing when Ichigo's been running around with a zanpakuto the whole time.

I think everyone is missing the forest for the trees.

Ichigo's fullbring was surface power.  It was residual.  Keep in mind that Zangetsu was still chained (Tensa Zangetsu), even during FGT.   It seemed at the time that the whole reason to allow Ichigo to go through the Fullbring training was to test his allegiance and more importantly to re-spark his self confidence and desire to awaken his power.  Ginjou stole the surface layer of Ichigo's power, the pure hollow power, which allowed the complimentary powers of Shinigami and Quincy to interact without disruption.

The shinigami power provided by the captains penetrated the Quincy prison that Bachgetsu created around Zangetsu, making Ichigo's fight with Ginjou the first time he had used Zangetsu.  He still has some hollow inside him however, as evidenced by Bach's medallion not working on him.

We know the hollow is still there, we know Ginjou took a portion of its power, but we know Ginjou appeared in Soul Society.  So we know that Ichigo was using a real zanpakuto and not the Quincy impostor when he killed Ginjou.  And the only way that was possible was if Bach's power was disrupted.  And the only way we've seen that happen is with hollow powers.  So really, you guys are arguing about which of two correct interpretations is the most correct when neither is really the point.

He had to have both.

Hey! Now we know why Mayuri never just gave Ukitake a new set of lungs.

I think it's a more interesting parallel that both Aizen, Starrk and Kenpachi all had enormous power for what they are and at one point they had an eyepatch thing going.

Or we could just post the hollow lizard for each one of these threads.

Nnoitora also had an eye patch. The eye patch thing interested me though, it's always the right eye that is covered, that may be artistic preference but it's always the right eye.

War Powers confirmed to be based on eye patch wearing ability and Ichigo because Ichigo is always the exception to every rule.

Also, Mimihagi takes everything except for one eye, so Ukitake will be the opposite of an SWP.

Is it restricted to eyepatches, or covering?

That is the same as Nel's super-speed technique. Maybe she is also one of the superpowers.

Nel's techniques was, in reality, probably just a very basic form of Sonido.

It was faster than Byakuyas OHKO shunpo strike. Ichigo couldnt follow it.

Comic relief, though.

I'm pretty sure it's just a visual showing that Ichigo's traveling faster than the speed of sound.

Huh. It looked like a shadowy tooth, to me. Anyway, is "Eisen" not a German surname and word which means something like, "freeze" (and an obsolete term for "iron")? The man who amassed an army of iron-skinned soldiers is about to set foot on a battlefield of ice.

Foreshadowing.

For what? I have no idea.

Hierro. It means, "steel skin" (kanji) or "iron" (Spanish). The ice palace is a battlefield of ice, no?

Uryu's Hielig Pfiel look just like Masaki's Hielig Pfiel.

In fact, they have for a while.

(Which makes me think I may have posted this before.....)

On the other hand, Uryu's Hielig Pfiel went from defined arrows in the Arrancar arc, to bolts of energy in the Lost Agent arc, back to defined arrows again in the current arc.

So, maybe his arrows have been changing. It could just be Kubo being lazy.

Wikipedia is great at tracking the differences between weekly chapters and volume chapters.

Read the notes section. I didnt know this many changes were made in chapter names only.
