"Not all music needs to be great or even serious, but with the music that is there's a problem. I think music is far better now than ever before in history, but it's obviously not that way in the mainstream. Even among music aficionados, there is a clear confusion about whether or not there actually is any music experience that can rise above a truly basic song. Music theorists know this to be the case, but frankly too many of them are old and out of touch with the only way of finding the largest collection of progressive music which is by illegally torrenting them (or spending millions of dollars I guess). Why should this lack of musical progression seem so prevalent if whether or not the best is played the average progresses higher and higher? It's obvious why pop hits are what radio spends most of its time on, but even if it made an effort to play the best experimental songs they could find it would not make a big difference as I think it's the way that music is listened to that's to blame. The idea of an eargasmic sound or perfectly sung sentence should be as self evidently ridiculous as the best line of a book, although there are obviously key moments that trump all others there is no sound imaginable that listened to by itself for 2 seconds would please anyone just as there is no sentence in a book that by itself would be anyone's favorite book. It's the context of the sound and meaning of the words in a story that matter. We're extremely lucky that consumers 200 years ago had no say in how much of a Beethoven symphony they got to listen to or they surely also would've said the best 3 and a half minutes at a time missing the whole point. A classical symphony can only be appreciated in its entirety with all of its highs and dreadful, sometimes annoying lows and modern music is no different. Concerts are good for this, but they also woefully miss the peak of a musical experience. An album is pointless if it is a collection of songs that might as well be singles, but must be an entity in its own right. The time that goes into crafting and producing a progression of sounds with a perfect flow is absolutely necessary for an experience worthy to be called an artistic masterpiece. This is well understood in mainstream literature, mainstream film and needs to become understood in mainstream music, but the majority of public consciousness is so far behind in that category it is concerning how long that might take. It really saddens me." @NGEFan

Lmao I'm not going to pretend I'm some intellectual on music or have some deep words for this but the best definition I can give is that
music is everything. It goes with everything. I can't really explain it in good words but maybe when you're playing a game and in a big battle, hey? This song goes really well to this because they're moving to the beat of the music. Or maybe you see some girl you like and you think this song corresponds to her really well, e.t.c e.t.c. That's some of the things I think about when I listen to music sometimes.
Music is a Universal Language that transcends cultural Boundaries.
Music is Love.
Music is Life. @Namikaze_Naruto

I would define music as a way of expressing... life. @Shichibukai Ace
Well, I would say, music is someone's inner essence being sent to other people to understand. Ok, thats probably around 12 words, lol. But what I mean is that words do not need to be used to describe it, it's just that feeling you get as the listener, when you hear a song that you really like. Emotionaly, it touches you, that is what I mean by the essence of the person who made the song, you are feeling it. @Chizi

Plenty fish in the sea
if you don't get what you seek
Just take what you see
These birds they all spread their wings together
every feather a relationship bound to get tethered
Whether you tie the knot It's still stormy wheather
You gotta be a pimp if you don't wanna get cuffed forever
A dime a dozen
Plenty fish in the sea
if you don't get what you seek
Just take what you see
Can't be macking and stackin if you loving these tricks
Only way is trickin these broads into thinkin they rich
Only woman I pay attention to is the Queen
Cause' money the only love to me that is sweet
A dime a dozen
Plenty fish in the sea
If you don't get what you seek
Just take what you see

I stare in disbelief
Their words rung in my ears
How dare they be right!
The dread of being wrong overcame me
The fear of what I saw consumed me
The pain I felt swallowed me
Our whole lives led to this?
How can it end- no, this is no ending
This is torture
Torture has no end
Death is the end, and torture is not death
Torture starts when you want it to end
I am worthless- No!
I will not reject torture
I will not reject her
I embrace the torture
“It is inevitable”, I say
“I will stay, my darling.”
You embrace me unrelentingly
And as I feel my blouse dampen
The torture drowns silently
Note: I don't need it to be in the middle, as shown above, in the voting thread. However, if the words in italics could stay as such, that would be lovely.

2/2X2 Poems in 1
I could never forgive myself
"the warm embrace of your tongue"
The feeling of ecstasy in my mouth
"the sharp edge of your teeth stung"
And the residue of crime on my lips
"as i travel down this deep wet pit"
I consume your love...
"you will live to regret this"
I tilt my head and stare up above
"I will embrace your hips"
Tears streaming from my eyes...
"i will make you mine"
*Burp* That was a kick ass piece of pie!

Protagonist of Life
Posted 05 May 2015 - 12:08 PM
Two bulbs perched upon bench,
sat in the park and could not see,
for although they were the best of friends,
that was all they ever would be.
Two lights sat at a zoo,
mirrored chains was all they saw,
a strong bond they could never break through,
a beautiful friendship became a law.
Two stars stood at the sea,
lighthouse pierced the heavens above,
two bodies embraced at the distant quay,
and between them an eternal void.
Fool's gold can always buy a fool's services.
"It takes no effort at all to be a fool, so why are you trying so hard?"
