Don acted very foolishly.

He wanted to prove himself to Gilda or something and he acted on his own.

Gilda is also an idiot for letting this happen.

As a reminder, Norman and Ray lied to those 2 that the kids that left the orphanage may still be alive.

Don is just overeager with a wish to save them, which nonetheless is reckless.

my question is why didnt norman and ray predict somethin like this happening? They told them the kids were still alive so it makes sense that they would do anything to save them. Reckless or not.

Because smart and strongminded people many times assume that what they propose and say is so obviously right,

that there is no other alternative for anyone else.

In one word, arrogance.

It was a balancing of risks: that is, by giving them false hope that they may still be alive, while it raises recklessness, it also raises motivation of "leaving".

After all, if they know from the start that the kids are dead, then it makes them less willing to cooperate in escape.

I wonder if that was the only key to the secrete room. Otherwise, those 2 forgot to close the door?!?! Which makes it obvious someone found out?

I would say it was reckless just to explore the room. but to leave door open is just asking to die.

if thats the case it jus seems like their underestimating the other kids. If they had the willingness to escape why are they so sure the others wont? Do they think the other kids are weaker then them? Thats messed up

Do they think the other kids are weaker then them?

A trio of perfect scores vs not perfect score.

What do you think?

Besides, for each kid, there a different class of people who information is given.

I mean, do you tell the little kids that everyone will die?

where do you draw the line?

When reading the chapter, I was wondering if Minerva might be a demon, and this is a test to sort out the very very clever children from the very clever children, to obtain even better quality brains and get higher prices.

yea but theres a difference between that and jus blatantly lookin down on your piers. Which they are regardless if the main 3 get better test scores. Its that feeling of arrogance that'll cause them to make a mistake in the end. Jus like they did now by not expectin something like this to happen.

And hey can we all acknowledge how corny it is for these demons to be eatin brains and the smarter the person is the better tasting? Still a good series but i jus have to acknowledge that bad part

I must say, though some might call it a drag, I'm enjoying how the events are unfolding right now.

I think it's lazy.

At any point before now, she could have been around the corner or been watching from afar when something important was being said or done. It took no effort on the author's part and contributes nothing to Crone's character.

Crone's deal will most likely be to help them escape so that Mama will look bad. But there's no way she would ever let the entire group of kids run off, so Norman and Emma will probably not want to take her deal. Meanwhile, what Norman suspects of Ray could be that he will sacrifice Don and Gilda, but it seems more likely to me that Ray may want to give his own life even for the sake of Norman and Emma ("you two").

Based on the comment from Neverland's editor, it looks like Escape arc going to end by volume 3 (which is pretty near now). After the Escape arc, Neverland will become adventure series.
