Finished Violet Evergarden. The quality of the adaptation and the OST make it worthwhile to watch, though the choice of the OST in some scenes were rather inappropriate, suggesting a different mood/atmosphere than the context of the scene required. I do not know their process, normally the scenes are already finished and the composer has to write the music to fit the scene, but they could have done it the other way around in this instance.
The story in itself, for the topic at hand, way too short and hence superficially done.
The entire premise is already shaky (like the dolls are supposed to be able to discern the feelings of the people who can´t express it, yet they all are immature girls), but then Violet learns about specific feelings in each episode which somehow transforms her from a robot who did not understand minuscule feelings she had to a crybaby that somehow understands everybody around her immediately.
It´s a pity that such a weak storyline gets such animation and OST, just makes you think of possible source materials that would deserve such a treatment much more.
7/10, most come from the incredible animation and OST.
