wat u mean? Wats there situation?

Shounen Sunday is doing same thing which you argued, make slow development for the new series. As a result, Sunday is currently in the edge of either close down the magazine or not.

Every manga lately wants to rush its popularity. It has to take time and let the characters and story unfold. All the best mangas started off slow but for some reason they don’t understand that

Most mangas and mangaka do not have that luxury, unless they are already established and famous enough that they have more pull regarding the story.

To lure in as many people as possible, the majority of manga start very quickly.

Not that it´s a problem with this manga, the possibilities are sheer endless with the premise if you wanted it to, they literally are on an island they do not know anything of, you can include every shit that comes into your mind.

And by sending new dudes every now and then, the introduction of new characters is justified as well.

but the solution can’t be to rush the story to quickly gain popularity cause then u end up wit multiple cancellations and that cant be good for the magazine either. It has to be a middle ground somewhere. I jus think they can slow down a little bit to allow things to flush out a bit more. I think the best example of this is boku no hero. It started off slow and allowed the premise of the story to carry it until we got a chance to flush out the characters a bit more. I feel like deku didnt even get his powers until the 2nd or 3rd chapter

yea but h can already tell he’s rushing through his ideas. I agree that the possibilities are endless but he has to take his time and flush out each idea one at a time. I think thats the key for a long running series. For example i think One Piece does this very well. Every idea Oda gets he flushes out an entire arc based around that idea.

Sorry, but I don't agree with you. You think BnHA is slow, but if BnHA was serialized in magazines like Shounen Magazine and Shounen Sunday, the story has being much slower (like first 4 chapters can extend to one whole voluem). Plus, based on my perspective, Boku no Hero Academia had very fast pace as well (gaining power, school entrance exam, first day of school within one volume, that's really fast); it is just very well written. Plus, the story isn't going to have fast pace until it ends, once the series got good reception, then they'll slow down pace.

Shounen Jump is well known for very high pace in the early chapters since long time ago (heck, I know some people say exactly same thing as you did), and they still remain number one position in Japan's manga industry. So, I don't see your argument about having slow development will make better.

The other magazine like Shounen Magazine and Shounen Sunday are having slow pace on the new series, but almost all of them never reached Shounen Jump's series' popularity. Heck, those two magazines are far behind Jump right now, so why should Jump bother change their method.

Not really, I don't see any part of this series being rushed; heck, I think the story is getting too slow right now. The characters just arrived in the island, they didn't even go into any deep part of the island. And you're already worried that this series is rushing. They are still tons of mysteries left for this series and the authors didn't even give any answers to biggest secret of the series yet.

I think you need to be just more patient about it.

So, we're 8 chapters into this series and I don't know how I feel about it yet. I think the premise is intriguing, but I haven't form a connection to the characters yet. Not to mention that I'm not a fan of the art style

I'll stick it out tho~

In case anyone was wondering why there've been no updates, because Viz has picked up the series, Fallen Angels has decided to drop it.

But while we wait for Viz to catch up, here's a Rough Summary for Ch 17 - 19

Does my link not work?

Well, even if it doesn't, I've started seeing rips over on aggregate sites
