I want to watch something with a plot and is no totally engrossed in telling a typical story of a high school boy who gets a freaking harem. It can be serious, dramatic, even freaking sad. Can somebody give me any suggestions, I'll warn you however... I've watched a hell of a lot of shows.

Deal with it. It's only going to get worse.
I've grown tired of 'edgy' and 'dark' shit anyway. I'm no longer twelve.

I don't think you get what the hell I'm saying... shows created for the sole sake of being 'moe.' If you enjoy that crap then fair enough. And I never accused anyone of being twelve, but certainly dark and edgy is aimed at a more mature audience than "lol I have a 20 girl harem but I'm too dense to notice" (< I only like one of these) schtick or "We do nothing but look 'cute' and do 'funny things' which aren't funny"
Example of a show I meant "K-ON!"
Example of a show I didn't mean "To Aru Majutsu no index"

I've watched a bit of Cuticle Detective Inaba.
Hahahah, I've never really tried a complete comedic anime before so this is really... weird in a refreshing sense.

I'm against things that are "dark and edgy" for the sake of being "dark and edgy", however the majority of anime really aren't like this which is one thing that sets it apart from alot of other forms of medium.
Also I fail to see the correlation between "moe" anime and the maturity of its viewers. When I think of something that is truly mature in both presentation and target audience I usually think of "Fate/Zero" or "Requiem of the Phantom". But that's just me.
And I think the moe fad is about to be on the decline as more companies realize that the profits are pretty short term compared to a more traditional action or plot-based series that has a wider appeal, multimedia possibilities(vidya games), the chance at critical acclaim, longer running interest, and a higher chance of sequel. All you really have to do is look at the last 1-2 years and you see a reversal of the decline in critically acclaimed shows. If things keep up we'll be back to where we were at in the mid 2000s.
As for what I'm watching now, I've just started scrap princess.. Surprisingly good i must say.

I know lol since when did you have to be a kid to like dark shows lol. I am pretty sure that guy was speaking on "moe" with nudity but still that made little sense

Not a Toonami Faithfool.
"Ass Pull": Often the first term people use to show how dissatisfied they are with something before it can be explained.
"Bull shit": often the first term used when a person expresses their dissatisfaction with something and they don't like the explaination.

I should be finishing Mawaru Penguindrum, but due to a bet Makaze and I made today, We're both watching Puella Magi Madoka Magica. I need to finish Psycho-Pass, too, but it's kind of lost my interest.
Shame for that, too, because it's pretty interesting.

I'm definitely doing more reading manga than I am watching anime these days, but I am re-watching Gundam Wing, partly because I'm curious to see if the series is actually as good as my child self believed it to be (because what kid didn't watch it on the original Toonami and think it was a shining beacon of excellence, because hey, giant lightsaber-wielding robots in space, am I right?). This also means I'm watching it dubbed instead of subbed, and boy have I already had a few laughs at the work they did on it. But the nostalgia factor is definitely making the viewing easier. I've got mad love for Heavyarms.
