On the one side, I'm sad that the first Mizukami Satoshi series to get an anime isn't the one I want, but on the other, I like that I know nothing about it going in. I just hope it turns out ok.

Also Overlord S3. S2's ending was kind of disappointing, but since they took less than a season to come back, I'll forgive them.

So it's a novel? You said ''get an anime'' so I thought it was an adaption.

Well, it doesn't have a manga -yet-. Apparently the manga was also going to be released this year, at some point after the anime.

A lot of anime has manga like NGE. More like the anime gets a manga than manga gets an anime haha

Hmm...I guess it all depends on who draws and write the manga? I dunno, this whole thing feels odd to me... Why can't I have the manga now? I could work with that.

I'm excited for the Banana Fish anime which is supposed to premiere in two days. I've been super excited since I found out about it. I even went online and ordered a few volumes of the manga to reread in preparation. I'm a little worried about the slightly updated setting but given the original content I think if they've made a key character for the original just a little older or changed which international conflict he participated in it'll flow smoothly.

Other than that I'm now looking into the other upcoming anime. I've been out of active watching for awhile so the ones that are having their second or more season are ones I haven't kept up with but might now go back and watch in preparation if they seem interesting enough and I have them available to me. I might come back and gush about a few standalones later today/tomorrow.

**Vupsiedoodles, got my dates mixed up. Banana Fish released the first episode yesterday.

This will be the first season is a long while that I have more than 3 series to watch at once.

With Boku no Hero as the holdover from spring I'll be picking up the Gintama and Overlord sequels. Banana Fish looks to be great. I hope Grand Blue is at least half as funny as the manga. High Score Girl will get a solid few episodes at a minimum. Same with Asobi Asobase. This is looking like a pretty good summer.

The original list made me remember that I need to watch all of the following to catch up:
Shingeki no Kyojin:
I think I tried to read the manga and disliked the main character but I'm willing to give it another try.
Overlord: I've had it on my list for a very long time and I need to just get to it already. Maybe after I've completed all of Psycho-Pass, film included ahurhur.

I've made a small list of ones that I could see myself possibly passively watching from first glance. Maybe a few of these could turn into a Bitter Virgin situation and become pretty serious and gripping, who knows?:
Tsukumogami Kashimasu

Happy Sugar Life: Uhm.. not so sure what to think about the "love" situation at first glance. I'll probably glance over the manga first.
Hi-Score Girl
Island
Asobi Asobase
Yama no Susume
Back Street Girls:
It's... my type of humor at least. I'll probably read the manga before I try the anime.

Now for the ones I'm quite excited about:
Muhyo to Roji no Mahou-ritsu Soudan Jimusho

Jashin-chan Dropkick: I feel like it might become my anime version of Tetragrammaton Labyrinth, it's seemingly "moe" but has darker "Gothic" horror undertones.
Satsuriku no Tenshi
Phantom in the Twilight
Angolmois Genkou Kassen-ki

Sirius the Jaegar: I saw the MAL page for this in "recommended" under a favorite of mine. Can't remember which, but I remember being excited about it since then.

Planet With: I want to know more about it since there's nothing offered unto me about it yet. I'll patiently wait to see it, I guess. It and the above comments about it have gotten me to check out Mizukami Satoshi at least so that's a plus.

I'm curious to see how all of these will turn out. Hopefully I won't be burned at the stake by the lot of them.
