Haha I'm not...Even if I would've been mad at you about that before there's no way I would still be after all these years. I'm not that immature

I've actually missed talking to you a lot, I wanted to e-mail you more than a few times but I've been busy and since I didn't hear from you either I assumed you were as well so I just left it at that.

Since this our first time speaking since 2013 I suppose we have several years of catching up to do...I don't even know where to start honestly.

Anddd you're right, we're both busy, and it IS a challenge to just pick up after a few years, but that's okay.

I had as well, but came back as I remembered a certain member while I was reading an econ journal article. I didn't even notice she had returned! (though I haven't been around enough to notice much of anything, haha). Great to hear, how has life felt since their coming into your life? Kind of funny to think you're already with family and kids when it felt like yesterday that you were single and not too fond of your immediate romantic prospects *chuckles*

From what I remember wasn't Tracy mad at you or something. Did you guys not make up? I mean it's really none of my business anyway?

Honestly it was pretty rough the first couple of months, newborns sleep a lot but with an extremely erratic sleep cycle so they were always getting up in the middle of the night which was only made more difficult by there being two of them. Even if you put one down to sleep sometimes the other woke up soon after and even worse sometimes they'd wake each other up. Trust me when I say breastfeeding hungry twins isn't easy especially when you're on just two hours of sleep.

After four months infants start to adapt a normal sleep schedule and now at month six they pretty much sleep through the night, only teething seems to really bother them now. Honestly spending time with them and watching them learn and grow is the favorite part of my day. It seems as if every few days they learn something new.

Well time has certainly flown by but in reality it has been almost three years since we got together.

Still in Jersey I see...for some reason I thought that you had moved to Brooklyn? How are things with you?

That sounds about right similar to my family females (mother included, though different issues). Glad to hear they're normalized with sleep, and super awesome to hear the growth and experiences you're having with them. Honestly the thought of that tips me to consider children sooner rather than later sometimes, but all in good time.

It doesn't feel like three years :lolxg: But you're right, proper reminiscence puts that into warm perspective for me :)

We were considering that, but the rent at our apartment is very good, and I'm working most of the time, so I wouldn't really enjoy living in a social hub like Brooklyn or something, yet.

Otherwise, very good! I've grown and learned quite a bit from my first rotation (I have two rotations of a year duration each, next one coming up in August) at Citi doing commodities research. I've learned quite a bit, not just about the markets/economics side (obviously), but also refined my work ethic and habits, and I understand/control my emotions better (which, to be frank, were pretty shit previously). I'm still random and obnoxious me, though, so the corproate life hasn't claimed my soul, so to speak lol.
Wife is doing well, too. She's in school, and having the better end of the whole life/time deal at the moment, but soon enough she'll start the career race and I may go back to school and have the time to think again lol.

That's about it in a nutshell, I think!

Currently trying to fit the final stages of university with work, so that neither is getting shafted. Doesn't work everyday, though, and after nearly ten years working nonstop I'm more than ready for some extended holiday >_> <_<
Could be worse, though, and as it stands, it's only for a couple more months - afterwards, I hope to finally get to really settle down^^

Aside from that, I'm seemingly aiming to take part in the next Tour de France - at least that was what my sister told me after I told her how far I've cycled in a single year (~5.300Km, actually) - mostly to work or the university, with the odd spontaneous tour added in^^

What are your plans for "settling down"? Another job or? That's freaking awesome if you do, kinda hope to do that one day. Haven't biked in a good bit, however.

I'm in my early third trimester now...the twins are due August (22-23) but the chances are high for a preterm labor so it could be a week or two before that but I'm hoping they don't come early because I want them to be safe and healthy. I can't wait to meet them though, I sing them every night and they always kick extra in response (I don't know if that means they like or hate my singing). In general they become super active whenever they hear either Leo's or my voice which is funny.

It's been so long since we've talked, how have you been?

Same, I guess. Getting off of accounting/semi-finance studies in favor of writing, literature, and linguistics was probably the best decision I've made in a long time. Although I sometimes get writer's block when the essays come up. :/

At some point I'd like to snatch a PhD and maybe a couple Masters more, focus more in depth on statistics, computer science, machine learning/AI and all that. Quant finance is a good application of the maths and such, but the maths are what keep me driven, so I'd like to crystalize it ^_^

Yeah, well take your time. I found my bestie for life relatively quicker than I expected, but it's the substance and not the timing that counts most right? And thank you :)
