Community Status Updates

I've always found "Apples and Oranges" to be a most unsatisfasctory idiom. Seriously, to even come to the conclusion that they cannot be compared requires comparison. And I think it requires either an extremely pedantic mind (moreso than me, who is posting this update) or an exceedingly unadventurous mind to think you can't judge these two items by similar criteria. I'm not missing the point, I just think it's a crap example.
